Knauf Werktage 2017 concludes successfuly with record results

The unique Knauf Werktage winning formula fully impressed yet again for the fifth time in 2017. With more than 20,000 visitors from trade partners, wholesale and planning, a new record was set and yet again a significant increase in visitor numbers was achieved. The visitors gave top marks to the Werktage

The fifth round of the Knauf Werktage exceeded the expectations that were already quite ambitious. At six cities across Germany, the Knauf Group innovation show was presented from January to March to customers and partners. More than 20,000 visitors – considerably more than two years previously – filled up the large halls, where the Knauf companies had put together a complex show of construction development innovations. “The combination of best practice, innovations and expert dialogue is the winning formula of the Werktage. Our visitors want to be informed and experience something. We were once again able to meet these expectations and make this happen thanks to our new exhibiting concept,” explained Jochen Wenzel, head of marketing for the Knauf group. This is also clearly evident from the visitors questionnaires: 98 percent of the visitors indicated that they found their visit to Werktage to be good to very good. Also rated very positively were the stage events, live demonstrations, exhibition concept and visitor support.

Once again, it was the practical aspects that provided the unique character to the Werktage. The many live demonstrations and presentations invited the guests to look and try for themselves attracting a lot of attention. The Knauf companies Knauf Gips, Knauf AMF, Knauf Aquapanel, Cocoon, Knauf Design, Knauf Insulation, Knauf Integral, Knauf PFT, Richter System and Sakret Bausysteme/Marbos offered a wide range of new and innovative system solutions for floors, walls and ceilings, the façade or exteriors. “The demand for and interest in information is enormous”, summed up Knauf marketing head Jochen Wenzel. In addition to the practical applications, this was evident in the many captivating technical discussions between the Knauf experts and the visitors from trade, wholesale and architecture. The demand for additional information was also voracious, and the visitors could request this information at the service points and receive it in digital form on the same day.

The new exhibition concept proved to be an astounding success, offering the Werktage visitors even more comfort and better orientation. This provided direct unerring access to the individual themes and event areas. For those who did not wish to explore the Werktage world on their own, building engineer and presenter Ronny Meyer offered a tour of the highlights. There was lots of action from time to time with the numerous live demonstrations on the stage: Here the spectrum ranged from fire tests with drywall and plaster systems to the demonstration of mineral interior insulation systems, flexible drywall profiles right up to sophisticated workmanship in plastering techniques.

Fully occupied rows of seats was also the defining image in the lecture rooms. The experts at the Knauf Akademie held competent and entertaining presentations on complex focal themes such as fire resistance and sound insulation, acoustics and design. In the field of digital solutions, the visitors experienced on location the impressive benefits of a range of online tools from the Knauf Group, such as the new App for system calculations of drywall constructions. The increasingly important topic of BIM (Building Information Modelling) for planning and implementation of drywall systems was demonstrated live by the Knauf experts at the Werktage with the continuously growing Knauf BIM component library.
